The Patron of the Borrowed belongs to Elhume’s original eight and is remembered as the circle’s misunderstood spy. Accounts place the Patron on the final assassination mission before Elhume’s behavior changed, after which the original is absent and is said to have been used in creating the first Armament. Later scenes attach the title and its power to Fiero and to increasingly twisted borrowed-image manifestations. Those appearances preserve a legacy or copy relationship, but they do not safely prove that the original historical Patron survived unchanged inside every later bearer.
