Biography

Pride broken by the Frost Dragon

Merrick Towns escapes an ice tomb furious at Wivanya and convinced that he should be the strongest man on his planet. Pride draws him into the wrong side of a fight and leaves him shaken even after survival. He later enters the Alpha Cosmos tournament, studies earlier matches carefully, and faces Wivanya directly. His loss sends him into an intense training regimen, though Illdan privately wonders whether recovery matters more than practice. (Chapters 1802–1803, 1817–1821)

Appearance and personality

Merrick has spiky honey-brown hair. He wears flexible metal gloves ending in curved daggers and moves carefully enough to scratch his head without cutting himself. He is proud, analytical, and resilient.

Abilities and progression

Merrick channels an image strong enough to rank among a planet's best fighters. His curved glove-blades support close combat, but Wivanya's cold, scale, and environmental control expose his limits. Defeat redirects his pride toward training.
