Marco Polo finds a badly injured newcomer and, after realizing Randidly is lost, insists on escorting him to the correct region of Tellus. His comic name and expansive helpfulness make the encounter memorable even while Randidly can barely move. Much later Marco assists Lucretia’s ceremony by carrying a large mirror to the altar, showing continued participation in the practical work surrounding the struggle against the Creature.
