Biography

An Eternity forces a temporal crossroads

Elhume introduces Laplace as a triumphant answer to Randidly, opening a route for the Eternity’s actual body into Pine. Laplace pursues Randidly through successive temporal flows and barriers, seeking an anchor from which its world-state image can infect the Nexus. Randidly answers with recovered spear imagery, Zeno’s Paradox, and attacks that manipulate temporal damage. Their struggle continues through the final threshold until Pine’s flight severs part of the Eternity’s reach; Laplace fails to possess the universe it sought, though its final existence is not resolved. Appearance and personality

Laplace is a bloated serpent with two arms and three scaled fingers. Its eyes are gouged and bleed, tears of blood run down its cheeks, and temporal healing leaves the flesh of its chest warped into an ugly spiral. (Chapters 2272, 2298, and 2310)

Abilities and progression

Laplace controls temporal flows, moves through layered time barriers, freezes or distorts local time, and projects a world-state image capable of infecting an anchored universe. Zeno’s Paradox can delay it, while manipulating its prior temporal wounds can deform rather than simply restore it. Entering with its actual body gives direct power but also reflects its inability to claim a universe safely from outside. (Chapters 2286, 2294, 2298, 2313, and 2322)

Relationships

Elhume invites Laplace into the Nexus. Randidly is its principal opponent, Pine becomes the invaded temporal structure and escape route, and Pangu is named as another greater being whose methods Randidly rejects. (Chapters 2272, 2305, 2317, and 2322)
