Biography

The patriarch who came to Deardun

Gerroark Char arrives at Deardun proclaiming that its abandoned people will not fight alone, briefly presenting the Endless Heat patriarch as a rescuer. His later attempt to kill Lucretia and Shal exposes a harsher allegiance to power and Style politics. A Rockman summoned from Randidly's Soulskill fights him to a standstill; when the summon fades, Gerroark rises and accepts the end of their joyous dance rather than being conclusively slain. Appearance and personality

Gerroark appears as an old man when his movement technique is suppressed, disguising the scale of the power beneath his age. He is proud, martial, and capable of appreciating a worthy opponent.

Abilities and progression

As patriarch of the Endless Heat Style, Gerroark wields a spear, heat, and movement powerful enough to cross distance in enormous steps. The Rockman's weapons, strong body, and ingenuity neutralize him, showing that unusual durability and adaptable close combat can check his Style.
