Ezzie

Ezzie is a former bartender turned guard whose fear, obedience, and disguise work place him inside Missy’s dangerous schemes. (Chapters 83, 117, and 188)

Biography

A frightened guard learns to wear another face

Before the System, Ezzie finds satisfaction in bartending rather than adventure. As a guard, he watches comrades collapse and confronts a slim attacker with fear and disbelief, learning quickly that ordinary confidence offers no protection. Missy later sends him to assess another settlement’s fighting strength, and an earlier wound continues to shape his caution even after healing. During the Tribulation crisis, he hides beneath a false Ryoji face, catches the peeling disguise, and endures a knife wound while Missy insists he keep smiling. (Chapters 83, 117, and 188)

Appearance and personality

Ezzie’s natural appearance is not described closely. Sweat, nausea, fear, and a nervous face beneath the Ryoji disguise define his scenes. He obeys Missy despite visible anxiety and retains the social reflexes of a bartender trying to appear harmless. (Chapters 83, 117, and 188)

Abilities and progression

Ezzie performs reconnaissance and uses a disguise item capable of reproducing Ryoji’s face and outer skin. The Tribulation’s item or perception can still expose injuries and inconsistencies, so the disguise does not erase bodily damage. His fighting ability is limited in the shown scenes; survival depends more on concealment and compliance. (Chapters 117 and 188)

Relationships

Missy commands and manipulates him. Ryoji supplies the identity he impersonates, while the unknown slim attacker in his first crisis destroys his confidence as an ordinary guard. (Chapters 83, 117, and 188)

Items

He uses a skin-like disguise that reproduces Ryoji’s face, but the item’s proper name and later custody are not established. (Chapter 188)
