Biography

A Herald teaches across Aether and Nether

Demetrius meets Randidly through the formal exchange of risen names, recognizing the truth in “King Hungry Eye” and offering candid answers. As the reflected coalition prepares its grand working, he becomes one of Randidly’s few regular conversational partners and helps test how their design functions under real conditions. His instruction also shapes Randidly’s use of Phaea, including its combination of apparent purity with the decadent undertone of an abandoned city. That teaching makes Demetrius a bridge between Nether identity and an Aether-based art. (Chapters 1956, 1981, and 2095)

Appearance and personality

Demetrius’s exact body, coloration, and clothing are not repeatedly described. He is courteous, formal, and curious, meeting the newly named Nether King without reflexive hostility and preferring careful discussion of difficult workings. (Chapters 1956 and 1981)

As a Nether Herald, Demetrius can perceive the resonance of a risen name and participate in large Nether-related workings. He also teaches Phaea with a distinctive balance of luminous purity and ruinous undertone.
