Heavy Harley

The Heavy Harley is a heavy spirit gun used by Marlo to teach Lex the physical and spiritual demands of cultivator firearms. (Chapters 35–40)

History

Training through recoil

Marlo introduces Lex to the Heavy Harley after ordinary guns prove inadequate against cultivated bodies. Even at Body Tempering, Lex struggles with recoil and accuracy, while the weapon's minimum physical requirements and differing ammunition show that using spirit technology is a discipline rather than a shortcut. It later appears in combat and training contexts where its force remains useful but dependent on a capable wielder. (Chapters 35–40 and 457)

Abilities and properties

• Its recoil requires at least a fourth-stage Body Tempering base even for spirit bullets, with repeated use risking joints and tendons. (Chapter 40)
• Different ammunition changes the weapon's demands and effect. (Chapters 35–40)
• Physical conditioning and aim remain limiting factors despite the firearm's power. (Chapter 35)
