Sabr

Sabr is an immortal turtle who carries the butterfly monarch Elena and joins Lex's emergency summit as a representative concerned with the Kraven war. Biography

Questioning the realm's hidden crisis

Sabr arrives beneath Elena and acknowledges Cornelius with restrained familiarity. During the summit he asks where the immortal Kraven came from and whether the Crystal race could intervene, questions the others repeatedly avoid answering. Lex's theory that a hidden power may be compromising the entire realm horrifies him because it connects unexplained enemy advancement with a catastrophe no conventional military victory can solve. Fighting the Kraven attack

When immortal Kraven assault the tavern, Sabr channels shock and frustration into unusually lethal attacks that appear to defy ordinary sense. He fights beside the realm's other major representatives because the attackers threaten both the wedding settlement and any chance of coordinating against collapse. The immediate defense succeeds, leaving Sabr alive, but the wider revelation ensures that returning to ordinary Trelop politics is no longer a complete answer. (Chapters 709 and 713)
