Biography

An impossible reward

Code Regix activates after Lex's event performance exceeds the system's highest ordinary reward rank. Regix initially appears suspicious enough that Lex assumes it may be a swindler, then sends a vast framework of information directly into his mind and proves that it has access to knowledge outside ordinary Inn rewards. Even after the transmission, Lex refuses blind trust, correctly observing that information about an unknown topic cannot verify its own source. Their relationship begins as useful negotiation rather than allegiance. (Chapters 2117–2119)

Bargaining over the Gilded Hollow

Regix's later request reveals its personal stake: a specific Gilded Hollow flower may free it or let it influence systems beyond its current confinement. Lex considers using information about the Double Yin Death Metal Rose as leverage but cannot remove the resource from the Hollow and is unwilling to commit himself to Regix's cause.
