Biography
Recovery and a timely truth
Noman arrives exhausted and wounded, but accepts a hologram's promise of safety because his ability confirms it is not lying. Weeks in the Recovery room remove both exhaustion and a previously unnoticed poison. His recovery coincides with a plot targeting Larry Dershaw, and Noman's unusual perception lets him recognize truth amid the deception, turning a passive refuge into the moment when his defining gift becomes relevant to another guest's survival. Noman is described as a boy or young man, initially too exhausted to remain conscious. He is cautious under pursuit but capable of immediate trust when his power gives certainty, making his confidence evidence-based rather than naive. (Chapters 299–300)
