Malfoy is a Reaving Dread mercenary whose suspicion of the Abaddon tavern draws him into an unlikely bond with Little Blue and a race-changing inheritance. (Chapters 1575–1652, 1798)

Biography

Suspicion, scouting, and inheritance

Convinced that the healing tavern is an enemy illusion, Malfoy resists comfort and tries to warn Kaemon even while Fenrir and Sunny's prank terrifies him. Little Blue's staged “rescue” earns his trust, and that trust makes Malfoy volunteer to protect the young Kun Peng when the group scouts the jungle. He distrusts Fenrir, activates Dread protection against betrayal, and supplies conventional stealth after divine concealment fails. His instinct correctly warns that their easy arrival is a trap, but the trio is pulled into the V.A.N. and receives ancient knowledge from a Kun Peng skeleton. Malfoy emerges able to adopt other races, chooses a human teenager's form despite its low prestige among the mercenaries, and later returns to the Inn wary but welcomed by both companions. Appearance and personality

Malfoy's original species and form are not clearly described. After the inheritance he appears as a human teenager and unexpectedly develops a British accent. He is over a thousand years old, cautious to the point of paranoia, courageous enough to confront threats while frightened, and deeply loyal once he believes someone requires protection. Abilities and cultivation

Malfoy is an Earth Immortal, an experienced scout, and a practitioner of conventional stealth capable of moving through jungle shadows without touching the ground or stirring the air. Dread protection can punish a teammate for betrayal, though its exact trigger and upper limit are not shown. The Kun Peng inheritance alters body and soul, transmits ancient knowledge, and lets him convert into other races to use their forms; unlike ordinary shapeshifting, it is presented as exploiting the adopted race rather than merely wearing a weaker shape.
