Biography

Survival, reunion, and marriage

During the zombie disaster, Iris is separated from Blane and eventually joins the portion of the survivor caravan that accepts Jotun homes, work, security, and training away from the planet. Blane's search continues across that relocation; after he contacts her and arranges transfer to her ship, he finally brings her to the Inn he has imagined sharing with her since his first visit. Their reunion culminates in a Vegus Minima blood-and-dagger wedding. Iris does not wait for formal ordination: she cuts her own hand, exchanges blades, and embraces him, choosing a mutual promise after years in which war, famine, and separation made promises seem impossible.
