Fredrich

Fredrich is the first Draconian Apostle summoned by Lex, a bee-like Inn worker adapted to environments lethal to ordinary staff. His ability to reshape himself and build stable structures amid heat, cold, radiation, and electrical storms makes him valuable wherever the Inn's expansion reaches hostile terrain.

Biography

Finding a suitable home at the Fire Temple

Fredrich explains that temperate environments threaten his survival even though they are comfortable for most species. Lex initially has little work suited to that limitation, then assigns him to the Fire Temple and a fire-aligned guest. Cultivating in the extreme heat lets Fredrich grow rounder and healthier, and joining the wedding procession later marks his transition from isolated specialist to visible member of the Inn community. Hazard specialist for Inn expansion

When staffing becomes scarce, Lex considers Fredrich precisely because the Draconian Apostle thrives where others cannot, including the possible hazards of the Cosmic Sea. His assignments extend from guest care to scouting and structural support under extreme conditions. The Inn never removes his environmental dependency; instead, it learns to deploy that dependency as a specialization, leaving him active in settings that would exhaust or kill conventional workers. Appearance and personality

Fredrich resembles a massive honeybee with yellow fur, two huge side-set eyes, and a gentle buzz. Cultivation near the Fire Temple makes him notably round, resembling a stuffed toy despite his hazardous-environment nature. He speaks telepathically in a soft, childlike voice and is shy in public processions, combining an adorable presentation with calm professional awareness of what his body needs to survive. Extreme-environment adaptation

Fredrich is healthiest in extreme heat, cold, radioactive decay, or powerful electrical clouds and cannot remain long in a temperate environment. This inverse environmental tolerance lets him work in volcanoes and potentially the Cosmic Sea. It is also a strict biological limit: ordinary Inn spaces are not neutral for him, so assignments and residence must be chosen around conditions other workers would consider dangerous.
