Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is an undying armored being of Abaddon who repeatedly returns to train and hunt Z. A soul connected to Earth contributes memories and personality to his creation, but Abaddon's avarice has remade him too thoroughly for his claim of simple rebirth to be trusted. Biography

Z's rival and an Earth-shaped lure

The Dark Knight waits at the jungle's edge for Z and grows alongside him, turning repeated combat into a training partnership neither can permanently end. He recognizes Earth entertainment and claims a Sri Lankan life followed by death from food poisoning in America, making his apparent humanity disarming. Lex sees that the armor is also emitting an aura meant to arouse sympathy and lower defenses, and treats the story as a lure shaped from consumed or incorporated souls rather than proof of identity. Abaddon's returning stalker

Lex commands the knight to die and watches Abaddon consume and reconstruct his existence through avarice, confirming that ordinary killing is temporary. The Dark Knight returns throughout the expedition, stalking the group and matching Z more closely until deeper Abaddon grants greater Earth-Immortal power. During the final intrusion he fuses with his mount and attacks Lex beside Kaemon. Lex kills him again but first rewrites his existence so every future reincarnation lacks a tongue, permanently removing the boastful voice that made him an incessant threat. Appearance and personality

The Dark Knight wears black armor and rides an armored stone-like steed. His combat form grows thicker and more heavily spiked; at greater power he fuses with the mount into a larger monster. He is theatrical, manipulative, boastful, nostalgic for Earth media, and desperate to impose meaning on endless reincarnation. Enthusiasm can make him sound like an ordinary teenager even while Abaddon's madness and hunger shape every action. (Chapters 1652–1655, 1739–1742)

Abilities and cultivation

The Dark Knight is an Earth Immortal whose strength rises with Z and increases deeper within Abaddon. Armor-generated aura lowers guards and elicits sympathy, his steed can merge into a monstrous combat form, and repeated death is followed by reconstruction under Abaddon's authority. This is enslavement rather than free regeneration: Abaddon cleanses and marinates his spirit in avarice, and Lex can briefly usurp or rewrite parts of that authority. After Chapter 1741, the missing tongue persists across future lives even though reincarnation itself remains possible. (Chapters 1652–1656, 1739–1742)

• Z: Z treats the Dark Knight as a recurring training rival, with both becoming stronger through repeated battles. (Chapters 1637–1652, 1716)
• Lex Williams: Lex rejects the knight's identity claims, kills him repeatedly, studies his rebirth, and finally imposes a permanent mutilation across reincarnations. (Chapters 1653–1656, 1739–1742)
