Biography

Cooking for an impossible audience

Cole defeats nearly two hundred young competitors by serving food people genuinely want rather than relying on status or spectacle. He is told only that important guests will attend, shielding him from the pressure of knowing they are Dao Lords. Once service begins, he remains in the kitchen producing refreshments with fewer breaks than almost anyone else, accepting the head chef's burden without abandoning quality. (Chapters 2030–2058)

His dedication becomes excessive enough that Lex orders Pierre to drag him away when the shift finally rests.
