Aizel

Aizel is the primordial Frio bird and an Earthen Deity whose ice and faith are built into the structure of the Crystal realm. (Chapters 705–706, 742, 1863)

Biography

Divine influence and the collapse of an old design

After ages of seclusion, Aizel attends the leaders' conference because the threat to the Crystal realm has become impossible to ignore. She rejects ceremony, coldly rebukes the assembled rulers' complacency, and later fights the invading Hellions beside Firin. The crisis exposes that both progenitors had shaped the realm to make its peoples depend on Sol and Frio light, converting that dependence into faith; their earlier recruitment of Vinei as the deity of darkness eventually backfires when he grows powerful enough to ruin their plans and sever their connection to the realm. Aizel survives that reversal, but her lost position leaves retaliation against Vinei an expected unresolved conflict. (Chapters 705–708, 1316, 1860–1863, 2147–2148)

Appearance and personality

Aizel is a Frio bird whose full physical form is not described beyond its divine, ice-associated nature. She is ancient, beautiful enough to inspire the system's joking warning, and habitually direct. Her cold voice carries irritation rather than emotionlessness, while her disdain for excessive etiquette and pride in her long supremacy reveal a practical but imperious temperament. Abilities and cultivation

Aizel is an Earthen Deity, explicitly equivalent to an Earth Immortal, and a Mythical being operating at the highest level allowed by the Crystal realm. She can release her full strength only by transcending that realm. Her Frio-bird lineage produces the light on which much of the realm depends, and her divine path converts that dependence and worship into power. Statues dedicated to her retain a trace of her element. The narrative establishes fighting Hellions and shaping the realm's laws, but does not name an individual ice technique, activation condition, or cost. (Chapters 705, 742, 1322, 1860–1863)

Relationships

• Firin: The Sol-bird progenitor is Aizel's ancient counterpart and sometime ally, although their ambitions created an old division between them. (Chapters 705–706, 1860–1863)
• Vinei: Aizel helped make Vinei a deity of darkness, only for him to surpass that intended role and dismantle her plans. (Chapters 1863, 2147–2148)
• Lex Williams: Lex brings Aizel into the crisis conference and later helps contain the Hellions she and Firin fight. (Chapters 706–708, 1860)
