Adamas

Adamas is the Deity of Diamonds, whose unusual access to Earth turns belief in diamonds into a source of survival and later gives him grounds to intervene against Sekhmet. (Chapters 585–602, 1271–1274)

Biography

Worship, jurisdiction, and intervention

Adamas gains access to Earth because the planet's cultural reverence for diamonds creates a domain where most civilizations would see only common material. Alongside Amana, he empowers worshippers during the robot war, raising human survivability and developing an organized priesthood. As a deity within the Origin realm he remains constrained by Henali supervision and cannot freely enter every conflict. A request for diamond procurement supplies the jurisdiction he needs: upon learning the enemy is the banished deity Sekhmet's Sanguis Pluvia, he cancels the deployment of his legion and intervenes personally, siphoning her divine power under Henali observation. By Lex's later return, Adamas controls recognized territory and has publicly commemorated their cooperation. (Chapters 585–602, 716, 1271–1274, 2006–2007)

Appearance and personality

Adamas's physical form is not described; his direct arrival is through a projection. He sounds bored during routine administration but reacts immediately when a conflict offers both legal justification and divine gain. His church inspires sincere devotion, though the high priestess's defensiveness at the Inn shows that faith in him does not erase pragmatic fear of greater powers. (Chapters 716, 1271)

Abilities and cultivation

Adamas's divine power is tied to diamonds, worship, and recognized domains. He can grant followers potent abilities and send a limited amount of divine energy to his highest priestess. He personally forms a diamond containing the law of impenetrability, manifests a remote projection, and siphons divinity from Sekhmet's separated presence. His movement across the Origin realm is not omnipotent: access depends on religion or valid jurisdiction, and Henali oversight restricts when local deities may intervene.
