Narmeena Nord

Narmeena Nord is Axel Nord's wife and the matriarch of House Nord. She welcomes Kai LuForia after he saves her household, then becomes involved with him as his influence over the family expands.

Biography

Gratitude, household authority, and compromised intimacy

Narmeena supports Axel's proposal to retain Kai as a personal knight because his rescue has demonstrated unusual power, while insisting that he remains free to refuse. She thanks Kai personally, questions him about the knight-and-mage institution, and receives his divine-spirit companions with such reverence that she bows despite being lady of the house. These scenes establish a courteous household leader motivated by her family's security and by respect for powers she once regarded as mythical. (Chapters 419–431)

That relationship later becomes ethically compromised. Kai hypnotizes Narmeena when she begins to reprimand him, and she secretly watches his encounters with other women in the estate. When she confronts him about those affairs, desire conflicts with loyalty to Axel; she tries to leave, but Kai physically prevents her and later pressures her again after she explicitly says she cannot continue.
