Jin Ling's bell
Jin Ling wears a silent silver bell at his waist alongside the clothing and insignia of his Jin and Jiang upbringing. Wei WuXian crafted a protective bell for Jin Ling's full-month celebration and added a white-jade tassel, though the gift was lost during the ambush at Qiongqi Path. (Chapters 7 and 76)
Aid during Empathy
In Yi City, Wei WuXian asked Jin Ling for his Jiang bell before entering Empathy with A-Qing's spirit. He explained that the bell could steady focus and calm the mind, then used its ringing as the signal intended to call him back from the spirit's memories. (Chapters 38 and 41)
