Biography

Named traveling companion

Wei WuXian calls the donkey Lil’ Apple while at the Cloud Recesses and protests when the juniors complain about its noise. During the investigation that follows, it serves as his mount and becomes part of the traveling party. (Chapter 19)

Yi City journey

The juniors take Lil’ Apple with them while traveling, leading to a confrontation with Jin Ling's spiritual dog, Fairy. When Wei WuXian and Lan WangJi return from Yi City, the donkey and dog remain openly hostile while the group prepares to leave. (Chapters 34 and 42)

Cloud Recesses and later night-hunts

Lil’ Apple later enters the Cloud Recesses, pulls Wei WuXian across the grass, and settles among the sect's rabbits. On subsequent investigations, Lan SiZhui handles its rein while Wei WuXian rides, feeds it apples, and contends with its attempts to eat bamboo shoots or kick at him. (Chapters 114 and 120.5–122)

Appearance and personality
