Skadi

Skadi is the youngest daughter of Forest Lord Skadira and a late addition to Karl's group. Her species is devoted to protecting and cultivating magical forests, a function she begins extending to her new companions.

Biography

Choosing a new forest to protect

Skadi introduces herself as Skadira's youngest daughter and offers her protective Nature Magic to the group. Although distracted and unfamiliar with their routines, she deliberately presents herself as a useful protector rather than merely a guest. The others begin helping her settle in, from explaining their preferred foods to giving her space to sleep and adjust. (Chapters 1911, 1914, 1917)

By the latest recorded dungeon battle, Skadi is already maintaining barriers over the whole party, including Rae and spiders near the edge of her range. Watching Karl fight also gives her a concrete next goal: learning his sense-based remote casting method so that distance will not restrict whom she can protect. (Chapter 1920)

Appearance and personality

The corpus identifies Skadi as a juvenile Forest Lord but gives no detailed physical description. She is candid, easily distracted, curious about new experiences, and willing to admit what she does not know; in combat, that curiosity becomes an eagerness to learn. (Chapters 1911, 1914, 1920)

Abilities and class

Forest Lords innately protect and cultivate magical forests through Nature Magic. Skadi specializes in protective applications and passively helps nearby beings develop toward their potential; her arrival contributes to the group's rise in power, though the text does not isolate her exact share from Karl's other effects. (Chapters 1911, 1918–1919)

Her demonstrated spell is a refreshable group barrier. Its practical limitation is casting range, which nearly excludes Rae and the spiders during the latest battle; Skadi has not yet learned Karl's sense-targeting technique and only plans to ask for it. (Chapter 1920)
