Rashid
Rashid is the brightly feathered, beaked Totem-ranked Overseer associated with the Forest Gate District. This article excludes the unrelated three-hundred-year-old Bronze Dragon named Rashid who appears in the orphanage proceedings much later.
Biography
Turning a cleaning commission into guild cooperation
Rashid meets Karl at the Library while negotiating for a custom magical statue. He offers Master Leatherworker skill books and textbooks in exchange for a construct that can keep the building clean, treating practical civic maintenance as a fair guild trade rather than a demand. His familiarity with Greater Demons also helps the visitors interpret the mixed population and expectations of the Alliance districts. (Chapter 845)
When the Statue of Tidiness is ready, Rashid activates it with mana and confirms its function. He also supplies Remi with a VIP card and uses a spell to bond or register it to her, extending institutional access to the newcomers. These actions make him a working bridge between Karl’s crafters and the district administration, with the successful commission producing both educational resources and a cleaner public facility. (Chapter 846)
Applying district authority to displaced residents
As a District Overseer, Rashid participates in the Alliance’s political discussions and presses Stonesmith Jones for clear plans affecting local people. His questions reflect the pressure on administrators to convert grand proposals into enforceable district arrangements. The text identifies him as Totem-ranked but does not show him using that power to bypass negotiation. (Chapter 853)
Later, when Karl seeks Nature Clerics and Druids displaced from a ruined farm, Rashid helps locate and contact the group. His intervention turns guild need into a possible refuge and employment route for people whose former community has been destroyed. He remains active in city leadership at his latest appearance. (Chapters 1124–1127)
Appearance and personality
Rashid has a beak and brightly coloured feathered wings; his feathers visibly ruffle with emotion. The corpus does not assign him a more specific species. He is businesslike, civically attentive, and comfortable negotiating with powerful outsiders. His willingness to exchange valuable instruction for public infrastructure and to assist displaced residents suggests a practical form of stewardship rather than ceremonial governance. (Chapters 845–846, 1124–1127)
Abilities and class
Rashid is Totem-ranked, though neither a combat class nor named offensive skill is disclosed. He can channel mana to activate compatible magical constructs and uses a spell or System-mediated process to bind a VIP card to its intended holder. These are administrative magical applications; the statue’s autonomous cleaning is an item property, not Rashid’s own spell. (Chapters 845–846)
His wings imply the anatomy for flight, but the cited scenes never demonstrate aerial speed, endurance, or combat use. His best-established capabilities are district administration, negotiation, knowledge of local species and institutions, and coordination across guild lines. His latest state shows no rank change or expanded personal spell set. (Chapters 853, 1124–1127)
Relationships
Rashid treats Karl as both a supplier and an allied guild leader, paying him in knowledge and later helping with recruitment. He grants Remi privileged access through the bonded card. With Stonesmith Jones he acts as an overseer demanding actionable plans, while his work with the displaced nature practitioners extends his responsibility beyond established district members. (Chapters 845–846, 853, 1124–1127)
