Mars

Mars is a Trollish Shaman selected for a damage-optimized Mythic dungeon experiment with Karl, Dana, Terry, and James. He contributes to the speed run, studies Remi's modified totems, and leaves with an Epic-grade Shaman skill that extends his own control-and-damage toolkit.

Biography

A speed-run experiment gives him a new Shaman path

Mars joins the group because the alliance wants to test whether a highly aggressive composition can clear elevated dungeon difficulty before the enemies enrage. He treats the public attention with humor, checks who supplies healing, and grows more confident once Karl's team demonstrates overlapping recovery and summons. Rather than remain behind the tanks, he leads a charge toward later monster groups because finishing quickly is essential to both survival and improved rewards. (Chapters 1245–1248)

The completed run leaves Terry injured and convinces Mars that the difficulty is exceptional, but it also rewards his curiosity. After asking whether Remi's flaming totems have a Skill Book, he receives the Epic-grade [Greater Poison Totem] and offers to let the Blue Dragons copy it before keeping it for himself. His latest state is therefore an active Mythic Shaman with a newly acquired skill and a cooperative plan for spreading the knowledge. (Chapters 1248–1249)

Appearance and personality

Mars is a male Troll with a beard, which he strokes while adopting a deliberately sage expression. No skin color, exact height, clothing, or weapon is established. (Chapter 1246)

He is humorous, curious about useful magic, eager for good loot, and protective of personal rewards without being wholly secretive. His offer to lend the new book for copying balances self-interest with professional cooperation. (Chapters 1246–1249)

Abilities and class

Mars is a Mythic Shaman. The run assumes that a Shaman can contribute damage and potentially healing, but the actual healing comes from Remi and Tian, and no original Mars spell is isolated. He participates effectively in the timed clear without evidence that he can reproduce the party's result alone. (Chapters 1245–1248)

[Greater Poison Totem] is a Shaman-exclusive Epic-grade skill learned or obtained as a book at the run's end. Its lesser visual analogue creates totems that spit poisonous fireballs, but Mars has not yet cast the greater version, so its number of totems, damage, poison, duration, and cost remain unknown. (Chapters 1248–1249)

Relationships

  • Karl: Karl leads the experimental run, explains the team's healing, and promises access to a standard totem spell when Mars admires Remi's version. (Chapters 1245–1249)
  • Dana: Dana's golems supply much of the mass needed for the speed-run strategy Mars joins. (Chapters 1245–1248)
  • Terry: Terry tanks while Mars helps drive the group forward; Mars notices that even healing does not immediately remove the damage Terry suffers. (Chapters 1245–1249)
  • Remi: Remi's personalized Burning Poison Totems inspire Mars's request, and she welcomes the chance for more Shamans to gain advanced totems. (Chapters 1248–1249)

Items

Mars has no scoped catalog item. His Greater Poison Totem reward is a Skill Book and then learned knowledge, not a persistent personal artifact. (Chapter 1249)
