Claimhb Solais

Claimhb Solais is the sun god-sword of Nuada Airgetlám and one of the four treasures of the divine Elin. Its powers center on light, fire, the negation of magic, and the bond between weapon and owner. Prince Fermut places it in the hands of an unqualified sword master, Hyde, before Theodore Miller captures it and later uses it to summon its true wielder.

History

Hyde's borrowed weapon

Hyde reveals the sword during the Andras ambush on the Sipoto Plains, naming Fermut as the person who gave it to him. When released, the weapon becomes his missing left arm: a silver limb that blocks magic and grants resistance to the light and fire the sword represents. Its blinding radiance defeats attempts to hide with darkness, while its isolated battlefield traps Hyde and Theodore inside a roughly two-hundred-meter arena until one combatant dies. (Chapters 169–171)

Hyde lacks the qualifications to command the god-sword safely. When he forces it back into blade form and draws out its power, Claimhb Solais consumes his vitality; only his unusual connection to the arm lets him activate it at all. Theodore answers its magic-negating advance with Abraxas. Hyde disappears in the collision, while the abandoned sword tries to return to its distant master and is caught by Gluttony's tongue. Gluttony can store the divine artifact but cannot digest its divine power. (Chapters 172–173)

Summoning God-King Nuada

Theodore retains the captured sword and eventually uses it as a summoning medium against Invidia. Rather than sacrifice the treasure for a lesser blessing, he calls Nuada himself. The manifested god-king takes Claimhb Solais in his divine hand, and the artifact's presence supplies both proof of identity and a fitting weapon for its original master. (Chapters 291–292)

Nuada's use reveals power far beyond Hyde's borrowed performance. The sword compels an opponent to answer when drawn, cuts through Invidia's copied weapons, and gathers surrounding mana, light, and heat until it becomes a pseudo-sun. Invidia survives the resulting attack only by countering with Fragarach, whose returned force destroys the summoned Nuada's incomplete manifestation. Claimhb Solais falls as that attack is countered; the supplied chapters do not explicitly show its later custody or its return to Theodore. (Chapters 293–295)

Abilities and limitations

• Magic negation: The silver arm and blade dismantle approaching spell structures and can neutralize magical defenses. Stronger magic can still overcome it, as Theodore demonstrates with Abraxas. (Chapters 169–173)
• Light and fire authority: The weapon blinds an area, resists its own two attributes, and can concentrate environmental light, heat, and mana into an attack comparable to or greater than an ancient dragon's breath. The highest display belongs to Nuada, not Hyde. (Chapters 170–171 and 294)
• Duel enclosure: One release creates a sealed battleground from which the two selected combatants cannot escape until one dies. The story demonstrates this power once and does not establish it as a general-purpose prison for arbitrary groups. (Chapter 170)
• Owner bond: Claimhb Solais can replace a missing limb, draw life from an unqualified holder, and instinctively return to its master. This bond enables Gluttony's capture when the sword tries to leave the Sipoto Plains. (Chapters 170–173)
• Divine medium: Theodore can expend or present the sword as a key for high-order summoning. Its strongest recorded result is Nuada Airgetlám, whose incomplete manifestation still overwhelms a sixth-stage Seven Sins grimoire until Fragarach counters him. (Chapters 277 and 291–295)
