White Bear

White Bear is the elder spirit who leads the white forest of the Baekun Mountains. Cautious and protective, he seeks Theodore Miller's help when the mountain's dragon vein and sacred trees are endangered, then fights beside Tiger King against Eight-Tails.

Biography

East Continent and the Northern War

White Bear explains that he began as an ordinary bear and became a spirit through centuries of accumulated karma after an ancient earth deity planted the mountain's sacred trees. His dispute with Tiger King concerns survival rather than personal hatred: each community needs a sacred tree, and surrendering one would cause dependent spirits to lose themselves and revert to beasts. Recognizing Mitra as an earth deity, he receives Theodore respectfully, permits an investigation of the blocked dragon vein, and urges careful study of the barrier rather than reckless destruction. Inside the Receptacle of Solitude, he detects danger before the others, enlarges his body, and restrains three of Eight-Tails' divided forms while Theodore attacks the core. After the monster is purified into a harmless three-tailed fox, White Bear argues against killing it and joins Tiger King in summoning the mountain spirits to destroy the remaining creatures released by the collapsing space. Appearance and personality

White Bear commonly appears as a half-human, half-bear figure about four meters tall and can grow beyond fifteen meters. His deep voice and measured speech suit his age. He is more restrained than Tiger King, apologizes when urgency makes him rude, and consistently places the safety of dependent spirits above pride or impulse. (Chapters 253–259)

Magic, abilities, and martial skills

As a boss spirit, White Bear possesses master-level physical force, keen supernatural perception, and authority among lesser spirits. His roar produces destructive sound strong enough to break rock, and his unique gigantification multiplies his size and weight without significantly reducing his speed. In that form he can pin down several divided bodies of Eight-Tails at once. (Chapters 253–259)
