Brasmati

Brasmati is an old red dragon who guards the Southern Continent's Sloth seal, fights beside Clipeus, and later crosses the sea to oppose the heavenly demon.

Biography

Prometheus and the Eastern Apocalypse

Brasmati intercepts Theodore Miller's party in the southern swamp and offers a choice between withdrawal and cooperation, explaining the ancient disaster concealed there. His concern is the sealed grimoire and the future of dragonkind rather than personal friendship. He escorts Clipeus into the Cage of Chronos, guards the dragon lord during the encounter with Myrdal Herseim, and yields his hoarded artifacts when the lord's pledge requires resources for Theodore's summoning. (Chapters 338 and 343–348)

Brasmati then confronts one of Sloth's released transcendents so Simon Magus can complete Dimensional Banish. He returns missing an eye and an arm, accepts Clipeus's decision to disband the old dragon order, and later arrives on the East Continent before his wounds fully heal. There he combines fire breath with Erucus's poison breath against the heavenly demon, choosing defense of the world even while insisting that he has not come merely to help a human. (Chapters 348–352 and 370–374)

Marriage, Armageddon, and the New World

During Theodore's honeymoon, the travelers visit the volcanic crater where Brasmati lives, although only Veronica explores it. Brasmati has no direct dialogue or reported change of status in the scene. The reference establishes a surviving residence after the eastern campaign but leaves his activities during Wrath's approach unknown. (Chapter 384)

Appearance and personality

Brasmati is a red dragon who can assume a human form. He is stern, irritable, and dismissive toward mortals, yet he presents Theodore with an honest choice and explains the danger once cooperation begins. He is fiercely deferential to Clipeus and visibly distressed by threats to future dragon births. The corpus provides more behavioral detail than a stable description of his human-form clothing or features. (Chapters 343–347)

Magic, abilities, and martial skills

As an adult red dragon, Brasmati possesses enormous physical strength, flight, dragon fear, high resistance, transformation between human and dragon forms, and superheated breath. His breath crosses Erucus's poison stream to burn and contaminate a target powerful enough to resist ordinary masters. His direct contest with a transcendent costs an eye, an arm, and much of his power, showing that even an old dragon can be gravely injured by higher beings. (Chapters 343–352 and 370–374)

Relationships

  • Clipeus: Brasmati obeys Clipeus as dragon lord, guards them inside Sloth's domain, and accepts the disbanding of the dragons' old collective role despite personal bitterness. (Chapters 344–352)
  • Theodore Miller: Brasmati initially treats Theodore as a dangerous variable, then recruits him because of his competence and connection to Aquilo. He later supports Theodore's eastern formation without claiming personal allegiance. (Chapters 343–352 and 370–374)
  • Erucus: Brasmati and Erucus defend the Sloth operation together, suffer severe wounds in separate battles, and later combine their breaths against the heavenly demon. (Chapters 344–352 and 370–374)
  • Aquilo: Brasmati disapproves of Aquilo's casual behavior and recognizes her blood contract on Theodore. Their exchanges show familiarity within dragon society but not a close alliance. (Chapters 343–344)

Items

Brasmati hoards a large treasury accumulated over thousands of years, but Clipeus's pledge compels him to surrender most of it for Gluttony's achievement points. The individual objects are not assigned to Brasmati in the supplied link manifest, and the later contents of his remaining hoard are unknown. (Chapter 348)
