Arthur's Lance medallion — The Beginning After the End

History

After Arthur is publicly made a Lance and general, he carries a gold medallion that military personnel immediately recognize as proof of rank. Presenting it grants him access to command spaces without a public announcement. It is distinct from the black Lance artifact Virion offers him, whose blood bond would force a white-core advancement; Arthur declines that separate artifact. (Chapters 148 and 150)

Properties and use

The demonstrated function of the gold medallion is institutional authority and identification. It supports Arthur's wartime command by letting soldiers verify who he is even when he arrives hooded or without ceremony. The corpus does not establish that this medallion grants Arthur power, and it should not be confused with Rinia's white sanctuary medallions or the rejected Lance-advancement coin.
