Taci

Biography

Recorded appearances

Taci first trains under Kordri in Epheotus, where he spars with the young Arthur Leywin and resents a lesser being admitted to pantheon instruction. Years later, Kezess sends him to exterminate the people sheltering beneath Dicathen. Taci attacks the Lances, kills Aya and civilians, and presents the massacre as both Lord Indrath's decree and his own qualifying trial for greater power. Arthur draws him through the sanctuary portal and kills him after a battle beyond the mana-rich environment Taci depends upon. (Chapters 112–114 and 385–388)

Appearance and personality

Taci retains a youthful appearance and has pure black eyes. He is arrogant, contemptuous of lessers, proud of Thyestes martial culture, and bitter that Arthur's training supposedly dishonored both Kordri and himself. His obedience to Kezess aligns with, rather than restrains, his own cruelty. (Chapters 112–114 and 385–386)

Relationships

Kordri is Taci's teacher and the standard by which he measures martial honor. Arthur begins as an unwanted sparring partner and becomes the rival Taci wants to surpass; Kezess turns that resentment into service by assigning Taci the sanctuary massacre. (Chapters 112–114 and 385–387)

Mana, aether, and abilities

Taci is a pantheon combat prodigy who uses extreme mana reinforcement, speed, durability, flight, weapon skill, and Mirage Walk. He can disrupt hostile mana and overwhelm multiple Lances at once, but he does not wield aether; in the portal space, the lack of ambient mana becomes a decisive limitation. (Chapters 385–387)

Items

Taci fights with a red spear that he can recall to his hand and use to split powerful mana attacks. The weapon is central to his style but is not given an individual name in the supplied corpus. (Chapters 385–388)
