Biography

Role in the story

Priscilla first appears as Sapin's queen beside Blaine Glayder and their children at the Helstea auction. When a possible attacker reveals himself, she immediately readies her wand and places herself before Curtis and Kathyln. As the human monarchy gives way to the continental Council, she supports Cynthia's handling of Alea's witness and argues for a measured hearing when Arthur is brought before the rulers after the Xyrus attack. (Chapters 24–25, 41, 79, and 101–105)

During the war, Priscilla works as a councilwoman rather than a ceremonial former queen. She briefs the leadership on dwarven instability, supply roads, portals, and the Wall, repeatedly argues that Sapin's active front requires priority, and agrees to compromises over Lance deployment. She and Blaine later order Kathyln to help secure the depleted Wall. Their eventual betrayal ends not in safety but execution, with Alacrya displaying both their bodies on black spikes; later evidence frames their fatal mistakes as driven in part by the desire to protect their daughter. Appearance and personality

Priscilla is a beautiful woman with a naturally cold expression, a controlled smile, and a composed bearing that hides fatigue. She is protective, pragmatic, brusque, and usually more restrained than Blaine. Her political calm can mediate arguments, but her priorities remain strongly tied to Sapin and her children. Relationships

• Blaine Glayder: Priscilla and Blaine rule, sit on the Council, and ultimately fall together. She often steadies or redirects him during heated meetings, but shares responsibility for the choices they make as Sapin's former monarchs and parents. (Chapters 24–25, 101–105, 180–233, and 249)
• Curtis and Kathyln Glayder: Curtis Glayder and Kathyln Glayder are the center of Priscilla's family loyalty. She physically shields them at the auction, monitors Curtis's training, and later assigns Kathyln a military role at the Wall. (Chapters 25 and 233)
• The Dicathian Council: Priscilla works with the other royal families, Virion, Cynthia, and the Lances.
