Kiros is the Vritra Sovereign of Vechor whose presence dominates the Victoriad. Contestants are required to mask themselves and avoid his gaze, while his aura and announcements reinforce the event's hierarchy. After the Victoriad, Agrona secretly imprisons him beneath Taegrin Caelum. Nico seeks information from the chained Sovereign and attempts to release him, but Kiros attacks Cecilia; she survives and absorbs some of his mana, leaving Agrona to investigate both the escape attempt and Kiros's violence. Appearance and personality

At the Victoriad, Kiros is a huge man with ornamented horns thrusting forward from the sides of his head, a loose robe, and a hungry smile. Captivity leaves his marble-gray flesh sallow, his bulk diminished, and his pride reduced to bluster, though he remains cruel and dangerous. (Chapters 379 and 421)

Relationships

Kiros rules Vechor within Agrona's hierarchy and presides over challenges involving its Scythe and retainer offices. Agrona later becomes his jailer, while Nico questions him about the Legacy and Cecilia becomes the target of his attempted killing. (Chapters 377–379 and 421–422)
