Durden Walker
Durden Walker is the Twin Horns' earth conjurer and one of Reynolds Leywin's former party companions.
Biography
Recorded appearances
Durden accompanies the Leywin family's convoy and uses defensive earth magic when bandits attack, helping preserve the civilians while the ambush separates Arthur Leywin from his parents. He remains part of the Twin Horns' relationship with the Leywins after Arthur returns and later rejoins his old companions for wartime service at the Wall. He survives the battle that kills Reynolds, so his later role carries the consequence of continuing the coalition defense after losing both a former teammate and much of the security their reunion had restored. (Chapters 6–9, 16, 24, 27–28, 92–93, 133, 202, 228–229, and 537)
Appearance and personality
The corpus emphasizes Durden's solid, dependable presence more than detailed physical features. He is a veteran who responds to danger through protection and formation discipline rather than display, and his continued service marks loyalty to the Twin Horns and Leywins. (Chapters 6–9, 27–28, and 202)
