Arian

Arian is one of Caera Denoir's trusted protectors and a powerful swordsman in the convergence-zone ascent.

Biography

Recorded appearances

Arian travels beside Caera Denoir and Taegen in the convergence zone, where his confidence and knowledge mark him as more than an ordinary stranded ascender. He helps organize the surviving formation, protects Caera, and continues fighting the titan after the group is shattered. His golden cutting attacks wound the creature and create openings for Arthur Leywin, though Arian and Taegen cannot finish it alone. He survives the zone and later appears as one of the trusted guards protecting Caera during a tense Denoir family meeting. (Chapters 276–280 and 393)

Appearance and personality

Arian is a male swordsman who wears matte armor and carries a thin blade. He is serious and protective in danger but capable of quiet humor with Taegen, and he remains attentive to Caera's safety without treating her as helpless. (Chapters 276–280 and 393)

Relationships

  • Caera Denoir: Arian is one of Caera's trusted protectors, fights on her behalf in the Relictombs, and later guards her within the Denoir estate. (Chapters 276–280 and 393)
  • Taegen: Arian and Taegen operate as experienced partners with complementary sword and heavy melee styles. Their banter coexists with close coordination against the titan. (Chapters 276–280)
  • Arthur Leywin: Knowing him as Grey, Arian initially treats him warily, then cooperates when his intervention becomes essential to surviving the titan. (Chapters 276–280)

Mana, aether, and abilities

Arian reinforces himself with mana and channels bright golden cutting force through his sword, producing crescents and a larger charged blast. He can wound and delay the convergence-zone titan but requires time to prepare his strongest attack and cannot defeat it without Grey's intervention. No aether art is established. (Chapters 277–280)

Items

  • Thin sword: Arian's blade channels his cutting attacks and serves as his principal weapon. It is not named or established as an independently powerful relic. (Chapters 276–280 and 393)
  • Matte armor: Practical protective equipment worn during the ascent; no unique enchantment is documented. (Chapter 276)
