Biography

Recorded appearances

Ademir leads Clan Thyestes and represents the pantheons among Epheotus's great clans. In Battle's End, he receives Aldir, acknowledges the pressure Kezess placed upon him, and respects Aldir's request not to draw the clan into his break with the dragons. Later, Ademir strongly opposes Arthur's immediate elevation at the Great Eight council, but after Kezess's fall he participates in the wider peace conference and asks Arthur to lead the new world—an appeal Arthur declines in favor of shared government. Appearance and personality

Ademir is a many-eyed pantheon, with four eyes facing forward and additional eyes at the sides of his head. He is ancient, formidable, formal, and resistant to hurried political change, yet capable of revising his position when the world around him fundamentally changes. (Chapters 395–406, 497, and 536)

Relationships

He is Aldir's clan lord and understands both Aldir's training and his estrangement from Kezess. With Arthur, Ademir moves from opposition shaped partly by the deaths of Taci and Aldir to public recognition of Arthur's power and historical role. (Chapters 406, 497, and 536)
