Ram Johnson

Ram Johnson is a Manticore-building student who becomes one of Ren's first uncomplicated friends at the Lock.

Biography

Friendship and later service

Ram meets Ren alongside Leo while both live under the Manticore building's bullying hierarchy. Despite his awkwardness and the pressure exerted by stronger residents, he welcomes Ren, explains dormitory customs, and spends evenings visiting restaurants and playing cards with him. Ren later dismantles the five tyrants' control partly so friends such as Ram can live safely. Ram attends Ren's apparent funeral, and years later appears in alliance service with Leo; he has lost substantial weight, become muscular, and remains at his post as the crack in the sky expands. Appearance and personality

Ram initially has a bulging belly, greasy ginger hair, and an awkward but friendly smile. By Chapter 679 he is significantly leaner and muscular. He is sociable, loyal, and initially conflict-averse under the tyrants' pressure, but continues into wartime service. (Chapters 136–138, 679)

Powers and abilities

Ram receives Lock training and later serves in the alliance, but no exact rank, manual, or named combat skill is confirmed. His physical transformation indicates training without establishing a formal power stage. (Chapters 136–152, 679)

• Ren Dover: Ram gives Ren ordinary companionship and mourns him after his apparent death (Chapters 136–254).
• Leo Smith: Leo is Ram's regular companion from the Manticore dormitory through their later alliance service (Chapters 136–768).
