Prince Plintus

Prince Plintus is the demon ruler of Plintus and the principal target of Ren's alliance assault on the city.

Biography

The trap at Plintus

Plintus gathers demon representatives around a replaying orb and prepares his city for what he believes will be a successful trap. Although confident, he is meticulous enough to monitor the intruders and station Duke- and Marquis-ranked forces around the tower. The plan reverses when Ren Dover exploits the demons' expectations and brings allied rankers inside. Plintus retreats under a powerful cloak and attempts to destabilize a Mana Compressor, creating a dungeon portal that could scatter the alliance's numerical advantage. Ren marks him with Akashic law, tracks him through the concealment, survives the explosion, removes his core, and closes the portal. (Chapters 773–781)

Appearance and personality

Plintus has a piercing gaze and initially maintains a wide, confident smile. He is cautious beneath that confidence, but defeat and the compressor crisis drive him into bloodshot, manic laughter and blame. His inability to stop speaking while Ren adapts becomes an explicit weakness in their final exchange. (Chapters 773–776, 781)

Powers and abilities

As a Prince, Plintus has exceptional speed, hardened limbs, claws tipped with energy, and concealment difficult even for Ren to penetrate unaided. He also understands compressor manipulation and dungeon desynchronization. These abilities consume demonic energy; after powering the portal he weakens enough for Ren's transformed body to overpower him, and removal of his core causes his body to disintegrate. Relationships

• Ren Dover: Ren turns Plintus's trap against him, tracks his cloak with Akashic law, and takes his core (Chapters 778–781).
• Suriol: Ren later displays Plintus's core to Suriol as proof of another Prince-level acquisition (Chapter 792).

Items

• Observation orb: Replays captured voices and helps Plintus monitor the approaching operation (Chapters 773–775).
• Mana Compressor: Plintus destabilizes the city's compressor to open a portal; it explodes and is destroyed (Chapters 779–781).
