Biography

A classmate in Ren's orbit

Leo introduces himself beside his friend and neighbor Ram Johnson, approaching Ren with a friendliness rare in Ren's guarded academy life. Through proximity to Manticore and accelerated training, the pair become minor associates of Smallsnake and Caissa and remain connected during Ren's public crises. Years later they appear as Lock graduates seeking work, showing that the peripheral classmates have continued building lives beyond Ren's immediate missions. (Chapters 136–254, 679)
