Duke Ukhan

Duke Ukhan is a successor of Envy and the political rival whom Ren uses as a scapegoat during his infiltration of Ka Mankhut.

Biography

Rivalry and fabricated conspiracy

Ukhan belongs to Envy, the strongest of Ka Mankhut's seven houses, and stands among the seven successors competing beneath the Princes. He attacks and humiliates Priscilla Pertinol, giving her an authentic reason for revenge. Ren exploits that hostility: after manipulating memories and stealing the Abyssal Mammoth gall bladder, he arranges evidence so Priscilla and the court believe Ukhan constructed an elaborate scheme against her. Ukhan survives the confrontation and protests his innocence, but recovered signs of memory tampering only deepen the political case, leaving him blamed for actions engineered by Ren. Appearance and personality

Ukhan wears a hood and is pale after the relevant confrontation. He is predatory, arrogant, and confident in Envy's dominant position, but also capable of surviving a plan meant to discredit him and confronting Priscilla directly afterward. (Chapters 704, 707, 714)

Powers and abilities

Ukhan is formally Duke-ranked and one of the seven successors. He has the strength to seize a hooded opponent by the throat and survive the off-page dangers surrounding Ren's plot.
