Heart Devil Kite

The Heart Devil Kite is one of the surviving hereditary mechanical treasures of Heartshadow Sect. Built by the sect's founding Divine Monarch for disciples of the Six Extremes of Destruction inheritance, it takes the form of a gigantic black bird and combines the power and spiritual wills of a large crew. Under Elder Hearteye, it is the sect's main answer to Luo Feng during the war for Huyang City, although its will-based specialization also makes its operators vulnerable when they attack Luo Feng's superior will. History

A surviving hereditary treasure

The Divine Monarch who founded Heartshadow Sect originally crafts thirteen mechanical treasures matched to the sect's inheritances. Only seven remain after the sect's long decline, and even those have demanding control thresholds that prevent most disciples from using them. Heart Devil Kite is one of the usable survivors: Elder Hearteye expects that operating it with disciples will raise him from a powerful Eternal True God to a combatant capable of containing Luo Feng. The sect consequently treats the kite as a deterrent while trying to secure its foothold in Huyang City. (Chapters 1573–1574 and 1580)

When Luo Feng attacks Heartshadow Sect's artificing shops, the kite appears as a black avian machine with blood-red eyes. Elder Hearteye leads twelve Eternal True Gods and more than ten thousand True Gods of Void Space inside it, unifying their power and will for a screeching assault. The attack reaches the pinnacle Primal Chaos Realm standard in will, but Luo Feng's concealed Godly King will reflects the pressure back into the crew. He follows with a Heart Honing blade that cannot cut the kite's body yet sends will and energy through it, forcing the damaged operators to retreat while the treasure itself escapes intact. Sect war against Luo Feng

After the crew recovers, Elder Hearteye changes tactics. During the convoy and final battles he joins the Heart Devil Kite with the slightly stronger Demon General of Heartshadow and focuses the unified will on defense instead of crashing it into Luo Feng's mind. The kite receives support from the Great Destruction Ultimate Formation, attacks with the other sect treasures, and can normally tie down a leading Eternal True God. Even so, Luo Feng's superior technique lets him handle both sect-protecting machines at once, preventing them from breaking his side's formation or stopping his movement. (Chapters 1585–1587)

The Heartshadow leadership continues to assign the kite and the Demon General the task of containing Luo Feng, recognizing that the rest of its forces cannot safely face him. The item is not shown being pierced, captured, or destroyed; later references use its survival and reputation to compare other mechanical treasures. Its final custodian after Heartshadow Sect's defeat and withdrawal is not specified. (Chapters 1586–1587 and 1596)

Abilities and properties

• The kite is a gigantic black avian machine with blood-red eyes, claws strong enough to tear spatial rifts, and a piercing screech that directly attacks spiritual will. (Chapter 1580)
• Its Godly King-designed control system unifies the power and spiritual wills of Elder Hearteye, twelve supporting Eternal True Gods, and more than ten thousand True Gods of Void Space. This raises the combined will attack to the pinnacle Primal Chaos Realm standard. (Chapter 1581)
• The treasure's body is comparable in toughness to a Primal Chaos Realm weapon. Luo Feng's blade cannot cut it, although energy and willpower effects can penetrate to the crew. (Chapter 1581)
• Its combined will can be used offensively or concentrated on defense. An offensive collision with a much stronger will rebounds onto every operator and leaves the kite able to exert only a fraction of its strength; defensive concentration greatly reduces that danger. (Chapters 1581 and 1585)
• It can receive formation support and coordinate with other sect-protecting treasures. The Demon General of Heartshadow is stated to be somewhat stronger, and the two together still cannot overcome Luo Feng's technical advantage. (Chapters 1585–1587)
• Control has an unusually high threshold. Elder Hearteye is the public wielder, and Qiu Yi is the only other living Heartshadow disciple explicitly said to meet the requirement, although Qiu Yi is shown operating the Demon General instead. (Chapters 1580–1581)
