Black Dragon X81 Ship

The Black Dragon Mountain X81 is the first operational interstellar ship acquired by Luo Feng. Babata seized its systems from the dead owner's automated defenses, repaired it, and used it to take Luo Feng beyond Earth; Luo later sold the restored antique to finance survival bases during the Nuolan Shan crisis. (Chapters 243–244, 276–278, and 299)

History

Capture and emergency salvage

Luo Feng entered the derelict X81 while searching for weapons against the Golden Horned Beast. Babata connected directly to its AI, overcame the system in about thirty minutes, and declared the ship theirs. He removed and repaired its most powerful onboard weapon and maintained the technology that Luo Feng alone could not operate. (Chapters 243–248)

Restoration and first journeys

Babata restored the hull to sub-light operation first, then completed its auxiliary systems and universe-travel capability. The 100-meter, three-level ship could accelerate through the light-speed threshold into dark space and was normally cruised at 1.2 times light speed, below its stated maximum of 1.5. Luo Feng used it for mineral scans, travel to Dragon Star, and later journeys involving Earth, Hong, and Thunder God. (Chapters 269–278 and 286–298)

Sale during Earth's crisis

Needing money for planetary survival bases, Luo Feng arranged a sale through Gao Sheng. A collector paid 12.8 billion Black Dragon dollars, inspected the antique, transferred the funds, and departed Bai Lan Star with the ship. The proceeds were then committed to the bases; no later return to Luo Feng is stated. (Chapter 299)

Abilities and properties

  • The X81 is a C5-grade Black Dragon Mountain craft built with pure black yttrium and valued both as a working ship and as a rare, million-year-old antique. (Chapters 277 and 299)
  • Its normal interstellar operation includes cloaking, mineral scanning, dark-space travel, and a maximum speed stated as 1.5 times light speed. (Chapters 270–277)
  • Its original security includes a laser passage capable of killing ordinary low-level Star Travelers; the ship also carried a B6 laser cannon and depleted liquid-silver guards. (Chapters 243–246 and 304)
  • Acquisition depended on Babata's hacking, repairs, power reserves, and technical control; possessing the hull alone would not have made it immediately usable. (Chapters 244–248)
