Xu Gang
Xu Gang is Xu Xin's elder brother and a commercially minded heir of the wealthy Xu family. He initially tries to drive the newly qualified Luo Feng away from his sister, judging a wilderness fighter too unstable a match; as Luo Feng's record rises, Xu Gang reverses course and becomes an enthusiastic brother-in-law and member of the extended family following Luo Feng's cosmic career. (Chapters 60–69, 174–175, and 394–416)
Biography
Earth's Fighter Era
Xu Gang meets Luo Feng at the HR Alliance market and politely couches a warning in talk of family status, arguing that Xu Xin should marry a wealthy heir rather than a fighter who may die outside the city. Luo Feng rejects the contempt and makes the exchange part of his resolve to reach the fighters' peak. Xu Gang later tries to promote rival suitors, but news of Luo Feng's rapid kills and elite-training-camp ranking changes the family's calculation. He calls Xu Xin to announce full approval, apologizes to Luo Feng, publicly labels him her boyfriend and husband, and warns another admirer not to interfere. (Chapters 60, 61, 68, 69, 106, 110, 174, and 175)
Surviving Luo Feng's apparent death and Earth's cosmic threat
When Luo Feng is believed killed in the Golden-Horned Beast battle, Xu Gang sits with the pregnant Xu Xin, urges her to protect her health, and tries to preserve the family left behind by Earth's celebrated defender. He remains with the household after Luo Feng's survival becomes known. During the later arrival of an overwhelming interstellar fleet, his smoking and repeated questions reveal panic, but he accepts Xu Xin's reminder that their only option is to wait while Luo Feng, Hong, and Thunder God negotiate for Earth's survival. These crises turn the once-calculating match into a brother-in-law whose security genuinely depends on Luo Feng returning. (Chapters 259, 265, and 303)
Following the genius battle as family
Xu Gang and his family travel with Xu Xin, Luo Feng's parents, and the children to watch the massive universe genius selection. He reacts openly to rankings, eliminations, and the enormous scale of the audience, helps the children follow their father, and proudly calls Luo Feng his brother-in-law even after a lost match. The role is domestic rather than strategic: Xu Gang witnesses the expansion from one wealthy Earth family into a household recognized throughout Black Dragon Mountain, but he neither directs Luo Feng's campaign nor receives a demonstrated cultivation advancement. (Chapters 394, 395, 403, 411, and 416)
Appearance and personality
Xu Gang is a handsome young man resembling Xu Xin and is commonly shown in business attire. He is socially polished, protective of his sister, and highly sensitive to wealth, reputation, and institutional power. Those traits first make him condescending and manipulative; the same quick reading of status later makes him promote the relationship with comic excess. His anxiety during planetary crises and care after Luo Feng's apparent death show that his concern eventually extends beyond calculation. (Chapters 60–69, 174–175, and 259)
Abilities and progression
Xu Gang is presented as a merchant and Xu-family business figure, not as a wilderness fighter. He understands the HR Alliance's family hierarchy, manages commercial affairs, and can influence social introductions within that network. The local corpus provides no named combat technique, fighter rank, law comprehension, or independent military action. His access to interstellar travel and the virtual universe later comes through the family's changed circumstances rather than a stated personal cultivation achievement. (Chapters 60–69 and 394–416)

- Luo Hua: Both are brothers within the extended family and watch the genius battle together; no independent conflict is shown.
- Gao Feng: Gao Feng belongs to the fighter world Xu Gang initially undervalues, but the corpus establishes no close direct relationship between them.
