Emperor Xuan is one of the thirteen Emperors of the Flame Wind Ancient Country, a proud imperial authority entrusted with responsibilities that require impartiality and reliable avatars.

Biography

Imperial responsibilities and loyalties

Emperor Xuan is the first of the thirteen Emperors to shelter ninety-nine percent of the imperial descendants in small universes when the Land of Origin approaches destruction. The Emperor also once aided the previous-life Godly King Luo He as a disciple, but learned too late that three imperial Emperors had coerced and killed that disciple and the disciple's family. That failure shapes Emperor Xuan's continuing loyalty to the reincarnated Emperor Gui Xu. (Chapters 1604 and 1668)

When Di Yan's faction attempts to strip the present Luo He's Guest Elder status, Emperor Xuan opposes them because their persecution of Emperor Gui Xu also insults the master's dignity. Emperor Xuan later supervises the Heavenly Pillar Realm, assigns Luo to guard its entrance, and remains one of the relatively independent imperial Emperors as the continent's political order changes. Luo can readily contact an avatar because pride and disinterest in private gain make the Emperor trusted with shared affairs. (Chapters 1719–1720, 1738, and 1769)

Appearance and personality

The corpus does not supply a stable detailed appearance and uses inconsistent gendered pronouns for Emperor Xuan. The Emperor is extremely proud, attentive to honor and hierarchy, and coldly formal, but also has a comparatively good temper and is trusted precisely because personal gain carries little appeal. Emperor Xuan follows Primordial Bloodline cultivation and is associated with the Water Origin Bloodline. A Clone Technique produces avatars that can be contacted for distant imperial duties, but the number, range, and survival mechanics of those clones are not stated.
