Wyverntooth Spear

The Wyverntooth Spear is Michael's Tier 2 replacement for Seron Voulge. Its black, ground wyvern-tooth head resembles the older voulge's long cutting blade, preserving Michael's familiar reach and slashing options while providing a stronger Artifact foundation for Enhancement and Extraction.

History

Tier 2 equipment upgrade

Michael acquires the spear while replacing his outgrown Tier 1 equipment. Its item description says it dropped after a Wyvern was defeated; the text does not say Michael killed that Wyvern himself. He immediately uses it against Lincoln and in the Lord Rift, stacking multiple layers of Enhancement to cut stone, pierce durable monsters, and compensate for enemies whose base strength exceeds his own. (Chapters 235–251)

Academy and Flag War preparation

The spear remains Michael's principal manifested weapon through later hunts, the academy, and the Battle Exchange. He combines it with Spirit Whip, Extraction, and the Legendary Ring Artifact, favoring a mechanically simple weapon because his attention is already divided across many Soultraits. After receiving Aethyr, he notes that changing Aethyr's forms is faster than manually swapping the Wyverntooth Spear with other equipment. Its custody after that replacement is not shown. (Chapters 288–393, 415–462)

Abilities and properties

  • The spear is a natural three-star Tier 2 Artifact whose passive effect increases its wielder's strength and agility. (Chapter 235)
  • Its blackish wyvern-tooth head is ground into a long, razor-like profile comparable to Seron Voulge's blade, supporting thrusts and cuts. (Chapter 235)
  • Multiple Enhancement layers temporarily raise its external enhancement and effective cutting power, at substantial energy cost to Michael rather than through an innate spear enchantment. (Chapters 236–251)
