Typhern Leather Armor Set

The Typhern Leather Armor Set is Michael Fang’s second principal armor set. It replaces his outdated Tier 1 armor with a similarly straightforward defensive configuration that can be strengthened through Enhancement, but it is destroyed before the Battle Exchange.

History

Tier-2 replacement

Michael introduces the Typhern set while revising his equipment for Tier 2 combat. Because controlling multiple Soultraits already demands his attention, he prefers uncomplicated Artifacts and replaces the Onyx Dragon Armor Set with a stronger version of the same basic defensive idea. He first deploys the new armor alongside Zark against Silvermoon Panthers, then repeatedly manifests it during tests and battles against Zeke’s group and rival Lords. The corpus does not show the purchase, forging, or binding process, so its acquisition source and price remain unknown. (Chapters 235–240)

Heavy impacts and destruction

The set’s protection enchantments blunt otherwise catastrophic attacks but do not make Michael invulnerable. Blazing wind still hurls him into a tree and requires bodily Enhancement to keep him from being crushed, while a hail of more than one hundred icicles rapidly freezes and destroys the generated protection layer. By Chapter 305 Michael recalls that the armor has been burned to a crisp, and Chapter 311 confirms the loss while he considers an Artifact-like replacement. The corpus never shows or names the exact fire that destroys it, leaving the destruction event somewhere after its Chapter 251 use and before the Battle Exchange. (Chapters 244–251, 305, and 311)

Abilities and properties

• The set comprises a chestplate, leg guards, and gloves, all classified together as a 3-Star Tier-2 Artifact. No helmet or boots are identified as components. (Chapter 235)
• Protection enchantments generate the set’s principal defense. Michael can activate them at full power shortly before impact to reduce incoming force. (Chapters 235 and 244)
• Enhancement can temporarily reinforce the armor: Michael applies one layer against Zeke’s team and two layers against an icicle barrage. The amplification comes from Michael’s Soultrait rather than an independent upgrade built into the set. (Chapters 236 and 251)
• The protection layer has limited durability and elemental resistance. Concentrated wind overwhelms it enough to launch Michael, and repeated icicles freeze and break it despite two Enhancement layers. (Chapters 244 and 251)
• The name implies Typhern leather, but the corpus does not explain what a Typhern is, how the leather was treated, or whether the material supplies any property beyond carrying the enchantments. (Chapter 235)
