Taros

Taros is an independent Lord feared for the Soultrait Glutton and an unsealed Divine Beast bloodline. He saves Xiltra from Chaos Essence for a price, later becomes a rival marked by the Will as a possible successor, and dies when the god sealed through Glutton awakens inside him.

Biography

The Lord Rift and Daniel’s Loss

Senator Keltos hires Taros to cleanse Xiltra, offering a Lord Rift entrance ticket in exchange; Taros removes the city's Chaos Essence in a single day and departs after fulfilling the bargain. In the Lord Rift he fights numerous Lords, enters a three-way stalemate with Michael and Tac Lec, and reveals that prolonged use of his Divine Beast bloodline exhausts him. He refuses submission to the Zentika council, stores his war axes, and leaves the confrontation on his own terms, expecting that Michael and Tac Lec may become either allies or enemies. (Chapters 232, 253–257, 289)

God Wars and the Primal Conflict

Years later Taros rides an enslaved Red Dragon and confronts Michael during the collapse of the Zentika Empire. Glutton devours matter, energy, and even Michael's limbs to strengthen Taros, but consuming curse power awakens Beelzebub within him. Michael receives the energy influx that proves Taros has died, while the Infernal God takes and transforms the corpse before leaving. The Will later reveals that Taros, like Michael, had been prepared as a possible successor and that the Lord Rift was intended to bring both to the Librarian, although Taros pursued the Red Dragon egg instead. Appearance and personality

Taros has a strong Origin-language dialect and can expand his body when using his bloodline, then visibly deflates and trembles when the strain ends. The corpus does not give a stable account of his hair, eyes, height, or ordinary clothing. He is proud, independent, pragmatic, and fearless enough to walk away from two possible enemies. Later, greed and certainty in Glutton dominate his judgment; even after Michael regenerates consumed limbs, Taros continues feeding the sealed Taboo until it kills him. (Chapters 253, 896–898)

Glutton and Divine Beast bloodline

Taros's unsealed Divine Beast bloodline magnifies his physique and lets him burn blood to exceed his limits, but extended use leaves his limbs shaking. His seven-star Soultrait Glutton consumes physical matter, ambient energy, Energy Stones, and body parts, converting them into raw power for his Soullife Arts. By his last battle, diverse energies fill his entire body rather than a conventional Energy Pillar. Glutton is powerful but dangerous: the Soultrait is bound to Beelzebub, and consuming Michael's curse power gives the Infernal God the opening to kill Taros and claim his vessel. Relationships

Michael Fang

Michael first regards Taros as a fascinating and potentially superior Lord. Taros recognizes their shared ambitions and postpones conflict, but Michael later blames him for substantial suffering and attacks him. Their final fight ends indirectly: Michael weakens him, yet considers Beelzebub the true killer. (Chapters 253–257, 896–899)

Senator Keltos and the Zentika Empire

Keltos recruits Taros as a disposable outsider, privately expecting that council forces might kill him in the Lord Rift and then annex his mountains. Taros accepts only because the payment serves his goals and never becomes a compliant imperial vassal. Near the Empire's end he kills and devours several Senators, adding to the chaos that destroys it. (Chapters 232, 899–900)

The Will

The Will selected Taros and Michael as potential successors, prepared their starting Soultraits and suitable territories, and designed the Lord Rift to expose them to the Librarian. Taros does not follow the intended route, choosing the Red Dragon egg instead; whether he ever knew about the Will's selection is not established. (Chapters 1072–1073)

Items

War axes

Taros fights with multiple war axes during the Lord Rift and stores them through his War Rune when he ends the stalemate. Their names, grades, and later fate are not stated. (Chapter 253)

Red Dragon and control crystal

Taros rides a Tier 5 mythical Red Dragon that has been tortured and compelled into submission. A crystal embedded in Taros's chest and a cracking necklace are associated with that control. Michael's Unstoppable Taming breaks the arrangement and frees the dragon from Taros; the creature is a captive partner rather than an owned Artifact. (Chapters 895–899)
