Senator Keltos

Senator Keltos is an old Lionheart, senior member of the Zentika Empire's Congress, and the political sponsor behind the hostile expeditions into the Untamed Jungle. His schemes create Michael's first enduring human enemy and ultimately make Keltos the personal target of Michael's revenge.

Biography

Saphirelake Admission and EmeraldLeaf Contact

Keltos is first identified by a Lionheart subordinate who offers Michael rewards for joining the Senator's secret mission. Evidence taken from the attackers links Keltos to several Lionheart teams, the Blood-eyed Minotaur operation, and the plan to seize a foothold in the Untamed Jungle. His impatience launches the Jungle Expedition early and contributes to its humiliating failure. When Chaos Essence from the surviving Paladins devastates Xiltra, Keltos researches the cause and hires Taros to cleanse it, while privately imagining Taros's later assassination and the annexation of the Southern Ice Mountains. (Chapters 149, 162–168, 232)

The Nest and the Supreme Human Alliance

After years of war and imperial contraction, Michael postpones training to fulfill his promise of revenge against Keltos. Taros has already killed and devoured several Senators, leaving the Empire unable to resist surrounding Lords, kingdoms, and monsters. Michael finally appears before the old Lionheart; Keltos recognizes him and is visibly terrified but says nothing. Michael kills him quietly by driving a clawed hand through his heart and declines to massacre the rest of the Empire, judging the remaining collapse inevitable. (Chapters 895, 899–900)

Appearance and personality

Keltos is an old male Lionheart. No secure height, hair, clothing, or individual facial description is provided. He is influential, secretive, impatient, and politically predatory: he withholds information from fellow councilors, deploys subordinates ahead of schedule, and presents Taros's recruitment as rescue while planning to eliminate him afterward. At death, his former confidence has vanished; he understands why Michael has come and can offer neither resistance nor argument. (Chapters 149, 162–168, 232, 900)

Lionheart power and political machinery

Keltos is called a powerhouse and rules a large Zentika territory, but the corpus never names his Soultrait, Tier, or personal combat technique. As a Lionheart, he belongs to a race with an innate affinity for manifesting and controlling flames, though no scene demonstrates his own use of it. His strongest documented capabilities are institutional: intelligence gathering, mercenary recruitment, council persuasion, hidden missions, and command through layered Adventurer and Paladin groups. (Chapters 143, 149, 162–168, 232)

Relationships

Michael Fang

Michael initially knows Keltos only through the Lionhearts and monsters sent into the jungle. The deaths and injuries those operations cause make revenge a long-term promise. When Michael finally reaches him, the imbalance is complete: Keltos is no longer a distant political threat but a frightened old man whom Michael kills with one strike. (Chapters 149–168, 895–900)

Taros

Keltos recognizes Taros's unusual value and hires him to save Xiltra in exchange for a Lord Rift ticket. The apparent partnership is cynical, because Keltos also proposes killing Taros inside the Rift and taking his lands. Taros survives, grows far beyond the council's control, and later helps destroy the Senators Keltos once manipulated. (Chapters 232, 895–900)

Items

No named personal weapon or Artifact is securely attributed to Keltos. His documented resources are political and territorial: a large Lord's domain, Congress influence, expedition forces, research documents on Chaos Essence and Chaos Ants, and access to the Empire's stock of Lord Rift entrance tickets. Their custody after the Empire's collapse is not stated. (Chapters 149, 232, 895–900)
