Palika Mervenham
Palika Mervenham, also spelled Mavenham, is the Chieftain of the Berserkers and one of the Tritan Alliance's senior leaders. He combines direct, violent judgment with a sustained responsibility for interspecies cooperation and defense.
Biography
Battle Exchange and Interdimensional Flag War
Palika opens the Battle Exchange beside War Priestess Silvana Zentur and human dean Franklin Wolfheart, warning competitors that rule-breaking will be severely punished. During the Dark Heavens crisis he demands aggressive interrogation, kills the traitorous Elder Xerx in rage, and directs the search for other conspirators. Although Michael privately considers the immediate execution wasteful, the memories Michael recovers earn Palika's respect and protection. By the Flag War departure, that respect also improves Palika's treatment of Alice Zenovia, Michael's teacher. (Chapters 336, 341, 448–465)
The Nest and the Supreme Human Alliance
When an unauthorized armed ship reaches Berserker space, Palika prepares evacuation and defense but speaks calmly once Michael appears on its terminal and explains the Dark Heavens plot. Michael later trusts Palika, Kraft Viton, and other leaders to repair relations among Humans, Berserkers, and Warlock Centaurs. Palika personally joins the attempt to kill a Peak Tier 6 Hyuman, sacrificing a hand to an overcharged Energy Palm, and continues sharing political responsibility while leaving Michael in custody of the Racial Symbols that were not reclaimed. Appearance and personality
Palika has thick hands and the formidable physique expected of a Berserker; a direct blow can leave a gaping chest wound without stopping his attack. The corpus gives no secure hair, eye, or clothing description. He calls himself a man who prefers action to long speeches, though the narration immediately notes the contradiction when he keeps talking. He is blunt, information-conscious, protective of his race, quick to fury at betrayal, and capable of revising his judgment when Michael's courage and sacrifice become clear. Hoarding Power, Energy Palm, and command
Palika's main Soultrait, Hoarding Power, stores energy over long periods. Michael later supplies Compression and Energy Palm, allowing Palika to compress the accumulated reserve and discharge it through a palm strike. The combination cracks the skull of a Peak Tier 6 Hyuman, but the output destroys Palika's own hand and still fails to kill the target. Beyond personal combat, Palika commands Berserker forces, emergency bunkers, orbital defenses, and alliance investigations. (Chapters 451, 848, 857–858)
Relationships
Michael Fang
Palika first knows Michael as a surprising young fighter he has seen in the Library and Ulran Arena. Michael's painful interrogation work changes suspicion into admiration, and later provides Palika with two complementary Soultraits. Michael ultimately trusts him to help stabilize the Tritan Alliance, while Palika treats Michael as a valued ally rather than merely a human prodigy. (Chapters 341, 451–465, 848–868)
Silvana Zentur
War Priestess Silvana Zentur is Palika's closest visible political counterpart. They host the Battle Exchange together, manage the Dark Heavens prisoner and Tritaenus crisis, evaluate Michael jointly, and represent the Berserker and Warlock Centaur races in alliance decisions. Bloodhound kills Silvana before Chapter 742, leaving Palika as one of the leaders shaped by that loss. (Chapters 336, 448–465, 742)
Elder Xerx
Elder Xerx's betrayal provokes Palika's most impulsive act. Palika seizes the decaying Elder by the neck and splits him in two with a war axe. The killing removes the immediate threat but also destroys a source of intelligence, forcing Michael and Kraft to extract answers elsewhere. (Chapters 450–451)

Heavy war axe
Palika uses a heavy war axe to execute Elder Xerx after the traitor's attack. The text does not name or grade the weapon, and later combat emphasizes Soultraits rather than the axe. (Chapter 450)
Racial Symbols
Palika and other racial leaders leave Racial Symbols with Michael rather than taking them back. The text does not identify which individual Symbol originated with Palika or whether the choice constitutes a permanent transfer, so the symbols are shared alliance assets rather than securely documented personal possessions.
