Minotaur

The Blood-eyed Minotaur is a tamed Tier 2 monster used to massacre monsters and Michael Fang's subjects in the Untamed Jungle. It is distinct from the Kitsun Awakened who merely adopts part of a Minotaur physique in Chapter 393.

Biography

The armored Minotaur appears where its species does not naturally belong, wipes out a Sabertooth Wolf pack, and later attacks Michael's army. Burning Life turns its hide crimson, expels a weakening tincture, and lets it kill soldiers and halt the Heavy Armored Elephant, but the technique eventually leaves it exhausted and grievously wounded. Michael follows it to six Adventurers, discovers that a timid Lionheart Tamer has been using its kills for shared energy, and finishes the monster by driving Seron Voulge through its chest before killing the Tamer. Battle Exchange and Interdimensional Flag War

The Minotaur remains dead throughout this phase and appears only as a reference point. Michael remembers that its battle caused fewer casualties than a later war and theorizes that the Tamer's bond explains why the Berserk Minotaur yielded SoulStar Fragments. A Kitsun Awakened who partially transforms into a Minotaur is a separate individual and is killed before completing that transformation; the chapter offers no resurrection, descendant, or second identity for the original Blood-eyed Minotaur. Appearance and personality

The Minotaur stands about three meters tall, wears high-quality metal armor, carries an enormous war axe, and has glowing crimson eyes. It is highly combat-aware but bloodthirsty, using its free hand to crush wolf skulls and collecting their saber teeth while ignoring the corpses. It shows a menacing smile and brutal cruelty in battle, yet seeks its Tamer once Burning Life ends, indicating that its apparently independent rampage occurs within a taming relationship. Burning Life and brute force

The Minotaur possesses exceptional Tier 2 strength, durability, battle awareness, and a rare ability initially mistaken for Berserk. Burning Life turns its hide deadly crimson, produces black smoke, nullifies a tincture, and lets it stop a roughly thirteen-ton elephant's charge while badly damaging the elephant's tusks. The price is severe: when the effect ends, accumulated pain and injuries return, its power collapses, and it enters a weakened state. Its Tamer receives part of the energy influx from its kills, but that shared benefit belongs to their bond rather than the Minotaur's demonstrated independent technique. (Chapters 143, 147–150)

Relationships

The Lionheart Tamer

The unnamed timid Lionheart raised, trained, equipped, and tamed the Minotaur. He is the only Adventurer who shows concern for it when it returns wounded, and he gains a share of its killing energy. Michael and Icarus kill both monster and Tamer together, ending the bond permanently. (Chapters 148–149)

Michael Fang and the Heavy Armored Elephant

Michael treats the Minotaur as the killer of loyal subjects and refuses to let it recover. The Heavy Armored Elephant fearlessly charges it and prevents an immediate massacre, but Burning Life lets the Minotaur halt and throw the elephant aside. Michael ultimately takes advantage of the monster's exhaustion to kill it. (Chapters 143–150)

Items

Metal armor and war axe

The Minotaur wears high-quality metal armor and wields an exceptional, massive war axe supplied or acquired before its jungle mission. During the decisive battle it releases the axe to catch the Heavy Armored Elephant's tusks, allowing Tiara to store the weapon in her War Rune. The armor's later custody is not stated.
