Lincoln Piedra
Lincoln Piedra is a High Noble descendant and one of Michael Fang's earliest academy rivals. His Stone Giant Soultrait makes him a formidable earth-aligned combatant, while his openness, competitive enthusiasm, and lifelong friendship with Zeke Lavita draw him into Michael's circle. After the Supreme Human Alliance kidnaps him, Blood Incursion corrupts his memories, mind, and soul. His brief recovery of agency ends his coerced violence but costs him his life.
Biography
The Lord Rift and Daniel’s Loss
Lincoln meets Michael during Saphirelake Military Academy's combat assessment. Already a Tier 2 Lord and heir of the Piedra family, he introduces himself as a High Noble descendant and identifies Zeke as his childhood friend. Although initially wary of an unknown student entering their conversation, Lincoln responds to Michael's straightforward curiosity with humor. His confidence rests on training, family backing, and a six-star Soultrait rather than hostility toward weaker classmates. (Chapter 180)
Their assessment fight establishes Lincoln as an early benchmark. He doubles the inertia on Michael, launches enormous stone fists, hardens his skin, and ultimately enters a four-meter Stone Giant state that the referee must suppress before the finishing attack. Michael loses, but Spirit Whip repeatedly interrupts Lincoln's control and forces him to reveal more power than expected. Lincoln's immediate question about the mental attack turns the violent match into curiosity rather than resentment. (Chapters 184–188)
Lincoln subsequently becomes part of the small academy circle around Michael, Kaleb, Zeke, and the Barscht triplets. He visits Michael after Daniel's loss and continues messaging him during the aftermath, even when Michael is too consumed by grief to register the attention. Their relationship therefore moves beyond assessment rivalry: Lincoln remains present when Michael withdraws, while Michael increasingly measures dangerous enemies against the strength he has already experienced from Lincoln and Zeke. Battle Exchange and Interdimensional Flag War
Lincoln and Zeke use their families' influence to help turn Michael's punishment into participation in the Interdimensional Flag War, but Lincoln does not treat that support as ownership. He welcomes Michael back, includes him in battle observation, and explains that powerful descendants are surrounded by flatterers from childhood. Michael's willingness to fight honestly and speak plainly is precisely why Lincoln trusts him more than most students attempting to enter the Piedra heir's restricted social circle. Competition remains central to the friendship. Lincoln repeatedly challenges Michael and Kaleb, studies opponents with Zeke, and prepares for the Battle Exchange through sparring and Ancient Structures. He and Zeke fight best as a duo because years of training have made their coordination instinctive. Lincoln nevertheless keeps seeking disadvantageous matches, including bouts against Zeke's illusion abilities, because he regards difficult opponents as grinding stones for weaknesses he may face in real Origin Expanse battles. During the Flag War, Lincoln applies earth control defensively rather than only pursuing kills. He reshapes the battlefield to move healers and wounded fighters away from the front, helps hold back the Tekur, and watches over Michael when an unstable breakthrough leaves him bleeding. After Michael reveals the basics of Extraction, Lincoln respects the need for secrecy. He is curious enough to consider a Soul Pact, yet refuses to involve his family because doing so would destroy the trust Michael has offered. (Chapters 442–473)
Savannah Alliances and Regional War
Lincoln fights beside the alliance forces and protects them with a huge earthen wall against a house-sized fireball. When Michael's Extraction Dome becomes dangerous, Lincoln pulls Kaleb clear even as the effect strips skin from his own arms. He then helps Michael assess how rapidly his power has grown, honestly recalling that their first fight was one-sided but each later spar became harder. The former benchmark now recognizes Michael as a friend who has surpassed him. (Chapters 500–506)
His position as a High Noble heir sometimes conflicts with that friendship. The Piedra family sends him to learn about Michael's Soultrait auction, and he admits the assignment rather than disguising it. Later, he warns that distributing powerful Soultraits to ordinary Awakened will destabilize High Society and provoke established families. The warning reflects knowledge of elite politics more than approval; Lincoln gives Michael the danger plainly, then asks for a spar instead of trying to dictate his choices. Their Tier 3 spar reverses the original result. Gaia's Necklace improves Lincoln's control of the Stone Giant transformation, allowing him to raise walls, palms, and spikes while fighting as a heavily armored giant. The form sacrifices speed and dexterity for strength, earth affinity, and endurance. Michael exploits that weakness, breaks through the earthen layers, and knocks him unconscious. Lincoln wakes sore but calls the fight great, preserving rivalry without bitterness after losing his earlier superiority. (Chapter 635)
Arx, the Sacred Desert, and Bloodline Revelations
Lincoln remains one of the friends Michael values even as Alice becomes emotionally closer to him. He discusses family development strategy with Michael, explaining that noble parents prioritize a strong foundation before aggressive territorial expansion. The advice reveals the pressures behind his apparent privilege: closeness to a rapidly advancing Supreme Family heir such as Kaleb can benefit the Piedra house, but it also creates expectations that Lincoln must keep pace to remain a useful ally. In the Sacred Desert, Lincoln joins Kaleb and Zeke against the Undead and develops Earthen Projectiles, a Soul Technique that spends Soul Power on compressed spikes. He uses walls and pillars to manage ranged threats, then transforms fully to crush Guardian Statues beside enemies controlled by Zeke. The combination shows his habitual trust in his childhood friend: even when an Anubirat is an unnerving stone killing machine, Lincoln coordinates with it because Zeke controls it. (Chapters 751–753)
Michael's gift of Draconic Transformation changes Lincoln's strongest form. Horns and dark scales emerge beneath the compressed earth, and combining the new Soultrait with Stone Giant makes him resemble an Earth Dragon in strength and durability. The transformation is painful and further reduces finesse, but it lets him swing a Giant Ghoul Serpent as a weapon and tear cores from Undead bodies. The power is explicitly a gift from Michael rather than an inherited Piedra ability. (Chapters 756, 767)
The Nest and the Supreme Human Alliance
Lincoln continues testing the Earth Dragon form against the Sacred Desert's strongest Undead, changing parts of his body between hardened stone and loose soil to escape a Bone Titan's grip. His exuberance after discovering weakened Guardian Statues retains the academy fighter's recognizable joy. That life ends abruptly when the Supreme Human Alliance uses pillars of pristine light to abduct Lincoln, Zeke, Kaleb, Alice, and hundreds of other descendants beyond the Tritan Alliance's reach. At the Divine Academy, Lincoln awakens among familiar companions with no knowledge beyond the sudden pillar and his arrival galaxies away from home. He remains calm enough to compare accounts and immediately condemns their captors as genocidal. The school removes Artifact access and threatens their home civilization, establishing coercion before the later Blood Incursion succeeds. His subsequent service to the Supreme Human Alliance is therefore not a voluntary change of allegiance shown by the corpus. (Chapter 867)
Lincoln, Alice, Kaleb, and Zeke resist Blood Incursion for more than a year because lingering curse power interferes with the process. Inquisitors forcibly remove that protection despite their screams; a week later, the Incursion begins altering memories, minds, and souls. The evidence comes largely through Zeke's memories and later examination, but Lincoln is explicitly included among the four subjected to the same foundational procedure before they are separated for missions. Trials, Divinities, and the Titan War
The Divine Academy's Blood Incursion eventually transforms Lincoln's behavior. Through the Heart's Choice trial, Michael senses that Lincoln and Alice retain a buried awareness of an absent connection to him, but the Incursion repeatedly forces them away from examining it. Michael becomes increasingly afraid that Lincoln cannot be rescued without permanent destruction of his mind and soul. By the time the Altors conflict offers a chance to find him, Michael even fears death may be kinder than continued corruption. (Chapters 925–926, 945–946)
Selena's people recover Lincoln's corpse, which is still recognizable as a two-meter, heavily muscled man despite its pallor. Mind Watcher retrieves only portions of postmortem memory, not a complete neutral record. Those fragments show his altered Earth Dragon form massacring Altors fighters and civilians, including children and older people, while wrath and bloodlust dominate him. The narrative attributes this changed state to what the Divine Academy did to him rather than retroactively redefining his earlier character. (Chapters 947–948)
Lincoln's last recovered memory shows the Earth Dragon form collapsing as a fraction of his original self returns. Surrounded by fighters afraid to approach him, he creates an earth spike and drives it through his own chest, apologizing as regret replaces the imposed rage. The spike then crumbles, explaining why Selena cannot determine the cause from the corpse alone. Michael interprets the act as Lincoln choosing death rather than permitting the Incursion to use him to kill again. (Chapter 948)
Michael brings the body to Zeke, explains that their friend regained control only once, and allows Zeke to take him home to the Piedra family. Lincoln's fate intensifies the surviving group's opposition to the Supreme Human Alliance and shapes Michael's later treatment of Alice: he accepts destroying part of her corrupted memory and soul rather than risk leaving her in the same state. Lincoln's death therefore remains both a personal loss and proof of Blood Incursion's consequences. (Chapters 950–951, 957, 987)
The Unknown Domain and the New Era
Decades later, Zeke has returned to the Tritan Alliance and spends time with Lincoln's family. He and Lincoln's younger sister initially meet for a few hours to mourn Lincoln together; mutual consolation extends into days, weeks, and months. Their relationship becomes love, and the long-allied Piedra and Lavita houses formally combine when they marry. Lincoln is absent from the new era, but shared grief becomes an enduring bond between the people closest to him. (Chapter 1121)
Zeke and Lincoln's sister have a son and choose family life over an obsessive pursuit of immortality. Zeke remains Awakened but no longer focuses primarily on advancement, accepting a finite future so long as they can spend it together. Lincoln is also remembered indirectly when Michael and Alice compare the paths of their former peers; he remains one of the exceptional students Annabelle Claire never matched, even though her own later Tier is stated and Lincoln's endpoint is not. Appearance and temperament
Lincoln is introduced as an almost two-meter-tall young man with short brown hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, and a muscular build. His expensive clothing bears the Piedra insignia: a large stone fist striking and breaking the ground. By his death, his physique is described as impeccable and comparable to a Berserker's, while his corpse's skin is pale and his eyes hollow. These final details reflect death, not his living appearance. (Chapters 180, 313, 947)
He is confident, cheerful, competitive, impatient when excited, and unusually approachable for a High Noble heir. Lincoln enjoys banter and hard sparring, speaks candidly about family pressure, and prefers honest rivals to flatterers. He can be overly forceful in combat, as when his first match with Michael escalates until referee intervention, but outside that state he shows concern for wounded allies, protects friends, and accepts defeat without resentment. The wrathful, indiscriminate personality visible after Blood Incursion should not be treated as a natural maturation of those traits. The procedure changes Lincoln's memories, mind, and soul after forcibly removing protective curse power. His apology and self-inflicted death occur during a brief reappearance of the person Michael recognizes, making the ending evidence of resistance to the corrupted state rather than confirmation that his earlier kindness was false. Stone Giant abilities and Soul Techniques
War Rune and combat foundation
Lincoln is already a Tier 2 Lord on introduction and is confirmed at Tier 3 by the later academy spar, but the corpus does not identify enough attainment points to reconstruct a reliable formal progression. His family supplies extensive training, resources, and a custom Inheritance technique. That technique harmonizes mind, soul, body, and Soultrait, reducing the mental strain of Stone Giant and altering his origin energy to improve earth-attributed creations. He builds a rugged physique because Stone Giant's strongest forms depend on physical strength. More than a decade of training, repeated spars, and the Piedra Inheritance give him unusually high control for his age, though mental attacks can still interrupt complex manifestations. Even while being lashed by Spirit Whip, he eventually learns to preserve simple stone hardening, demonstrating that disruption impairs rather than universally nullifies the Soultrait. Stone Giant
Stone Giant is Lincoln's six-star signature Soultrait. It combines earth manipulation, semi-transformation, and heavy defense: he can produce fists, walls, pillars, palms, shields, and spikes; manipulate local inertia or gravity; and harden his skin into stone. Early projectiles require time to form, but emotional escalation and later mastery allow multiple enormous fists to appear nearly instantly. Earth constructs can protect allies or reshape a battlefield as readily as they can crush opponents. (Chapters 182, 184–186, 236–237, 304, 467, 500)
Its transformation begins with Stone Skin, a durable surface capable of repelling enhanced arrows. The second level, Expansion, grows Lincoln's width and height beneath another layer of hardened skin that eventually becomes stone and falls away. Later full-body forms encase him in compressed earth. They greatly increase strength, endurance, and earth control, but reduce speed and dexterity, allowing faster enemies to maneuver around him if walls, gravity, and terrain control fail to slow them. Lincoln can alter transformed material dynamically. Against a Bone Titan, he dissolves part of his stone shoulder into grains so the enemy's grip passes through, then recompresses and hardens it before counterattacking. This technique makes the form more adaptable than fixed armor, but the corpus does not define its range, timing, or energy cost. It is demonstrated only on his own transformed body rather than arbitrary enemy structures. (Chapter 767)
Draconic Transformation
Draconic Transformation is a second Soultrait given to Lincoln by Michael. It produces horns, dark scales, claws, and further physical reinforcement. When combined with Stone Giant, it makes Lincoln as strong and durable as an Earth Dragon and eventually creates a five-meter bipedal Earth Dragon form. The transformation is visibly painful: his body cracks, horns pierce his forehead, and skin tears before the scales emerge beneath the earthen shell. (Chapters 756, 767)
The hybrid form excels at direct force. Lincoln lifts and swings a Giant Ghoul Serpent through surrounding Undead, tears cores from enemies with enlarged claws, and withstands a Bone Titan in close combat. Blood Incursion later weaponizes the same combination during massacres. The increase in destructive output does not protect Lincoln's mind or restore agency; his strongest physical state becomes a tool of the altered personality until his final moment of resistance. Earthen Projectiles and tactical earth control
Earthen Projectiles is a Soul Technique learned by the Sacred Desert campaign. Lincoln spends a small portion of Soul Power to create compressed spikes that pierce multiple closely packed Undead. He initially lacks proficiency and finds producing Soul Energy harder than controlling the technique itself. Its usefulness depends on formation and target durability: clustered enemies allow one expanding spike to kill several, whereas stronger Guardian Statues require walls, body transformation, and repeated physical strikes. Lincoln's broader tactical control includes creating cover, blocking projectiles, moving wounded allies by shifting earth, and restricting enemy movement. These applications offset the Stone Giant form's low agility and make him a defensive anchor in group battles. His instincts are not purely defensive, however; he can rapidly turn cover into crushing palms, spikes, or cannon-like fists, which makes close proximity dangerous even when an opponent penetrates the first wall. Relationships
Zeke Lavita
Zeke Lavita is Lincoln's childhood friend, and the Piedra and Lavita families have been close for five centuries. They train together so extensively that their coordination as a duo exceeds Lincoln's partnerships with other academy students. Zeke warns him when Stone Giant begins escalating, explains his habits to Michael, and serves as a social counterweight to Lincoln's impatience. Lincoln in turn comforts Zeke, protects his confidence, and remains beside him when Dark Heavens' role in his sister's death resurfaces. (Chapters 180, 186, 303–304, 337, 447–448)
The Supreme Human Alliance separates them after Blood Incursion, preventing either from supporting the other as their identities are rewritten. Michael eventually shows Zeke Lincoln's body, and Zeke takes it to inform the Piedra family. Years later, he and Lincoln's sister find comfort in mourning together, marry, and unite their houses. Michael Fang
Michael Fang begins as an underestimated assessment opponent and becomes Lincoln's friend, rival, and source of a second Soultrait. Their repeated spars chart a reversal: Lincoln first overwhelms him, later struggles, and finally loses while celebrating Michael's growth. He respects Michael's honesty and self-made progress, protects his secrets from family politics, and warns him when his actions threaten the balance of High Society. Michael's gift of Draconic Transformation makes Lincoln far stronger but becomes a source of guilt after Blood Incursion turns that power against civilians. Michael nevertheless distinguishes the coerced killer from the friend he knew, feels pride when Lincoln briefly returns and refuses to continue, and uses the loss to guide later rescue decisions. Kaleb and Alice Zenovia
Kaleb Zenovia is Lincoln's frequent sparring partner and ally. They challenge one another, share academy training, and fight together from the Flag War through the Sacred Desert. Lincoln understands the political value and pressure attached to friendship with a Supreme Family heir but still treats Kaleb as someone to tease and oppose rather than flatter. Their competitive bond forms part of the circle that brings Michael into High Society. (Chapters 309, 337, 436, 500–506, 568–569, 696–716, 751–756)
Alice Zenovia is initially a professor Lincoln advises Michael not to provoke and later another friend kidnapped into the Divine Academy. The Heart's Choice trial shows no romance between Lincoln and Alice despite rumors after their memories are altered; their buried connection is Michael, whom neither can consciously remember. Alice is recovered alive, while Lincoln's death becomes the reason Michael accepts radical memory and soul surgery to prevent her suffering the same end. (Chapters 180, 855–867, 925–926, 947–951)
Piedra family
Lincoln is the Piedra heir and carries the advantages and obligations of a High Noble house. His family provides techniques, resources, and customized Artifacts, expects him to remain among elite peers, and sometimes uses him to investigate opportunities such as Michael's auction. Lincoln's father joins the Tritan Alliance's purge and reacts with fear when he learns his son has been abducted. After Lincoln's death, his younger sister and Zeke preserve his memory while combining the Piedra and Lavita families. (Chapters 180, 299, 539, 701, 855, 950, 1121)

Stone Giant Gloves
Lincoln's Stone Giant Gloves are customized Epic Tier 2 Artifacts made by an Archmaster Enchanter and Saint Blacksmith. When their enchantments interact with Stone Giant, their effective performance can rival a Legendary Tier 2 Artifact. Lincoln initially intends to conceal them until the Battle Exchange but reveals them when Michael's improved attacks force him to fight seriously. No dedicated generated item page exists, so the gloves are not linked. (Chapters 237, 311)
Gaia’s Necklace
After reaching Tier 3, Lincoln replaces the gloves with Gaia's Necklace, a Legendary Tier 3 Artifact. The necklace grants greater control over the Stone Giant transformation, supporting a complete miniature-giant form and faster manipulation of surrounding earth. It improves control rather than erasing the form's principal tradeoff: Lincoln remains slower and less dexterous as his strength, endurance, and earth affinity rise.
