The Crest of Eternity is Zarveth's core Infinity Relic, bound to the concept of Time and connected directly to his life force.
History
The last relic
Zarveth retains the Crest after Nux destroys the Blade of Rewriting and Cube of Silence. It works with the Chronos Key and the predictive relics during his attempt to overcome Nux, and its rings spin faster as the other relics are destroyed. Once Nux crushes the Key, Zarveth retreats while holding the Crest as his final defense. Nux destroys it without touching it directly. The loss stops Zarveth's bodily functions and leaves him unable to move, revealing that his extraordinary borrowed power depended on linking the Infinity Relics to his own life force. Abilities and properties
- The Crest is the central relic of Zarveth's set and is explicitly bound to the concept of Time. (Chapter 2110)
- It participates with the Chronos Key in Zarveth's time loops, alternate-timeline clones, and reality-collapse attack, although the corpus does not assign each combined effect to the Crest alone. (Chapter 2111)
- Zarveth binds the relic to his life force. This enables him to wield its power but makes its destruction catastrophic: his body collapses and its ordinary functions cease when the Crest shatters. (Chapter 2111)
